About Me

How did I get here? As much as I loved teaching the next generation and playing a positive role in their lives, something still didn’t feel quite right for me career-wise. I wanted a role where I could still work with others and make an impact, but also preserve my energy and allow my creative side to shine as well. After researching local graduate programs, I discovered the Learning, Design, and Technology program at UNC Charlotte. Since making the transition from teaching to Instructional Design, I can confidently say this is where I am meant to be.

What do I bring to the table? I'm a highly motivated, creative, and adaptive Instructional Designer with a passion for producing life-long learners. As an Instructional Designer with five years of teaching experience, three of which were spent serving on my grade level's Leadership Team, one of my strongest attributes is being able to collaborate with others to achieve a set goal. Due to my background in teaching, my design approach is highly learner-centered and strives to create equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning materials. I'm also a committed team member possessing both the work ethic and communication abilities necessary to make a positive impact within a team setting while also efficiently handling tasks independently.
