The project featured below was made using Articulate Storyline. The full project plan, including the analysis, design, and development plans, are also linked below to provide insight and background information into the project's purpose.

"UNC Charlotte New Student Employee Orientation" Internship Project
In the Summer of 2023, I worked with the University Center for Academic Excellence and Student Employment at UNC Charlotte as an intern to design and develop the New Student Employee Orientation. Initially when the internship began, I was tasked with incorporating interactive elements using H5P into the pre-existing Canvas training course. However, as the project progressed, the team decided to pivot and use Articulate Storyline instead to build a more engaging, gamified training concept. This shift challenged my project management knowledge and made me create a project plan outlining the tasks that needed to be completed with specific deadlines approved by stakeholders. Because of this experience, I was inspired to take a course on project management and leadership development to hone my skills and further my understanding of the two topics.

This project was one of the more difficult projects I have worked on since being in the program because it challenged me creatively. Prior to this project, I was not extremely skilled in Articulate Storyline and created basic trainings that mimicked PowerPoint presentations. This project, however, forced me to research tutorials and project examples that showed how to build interactive elements with Articulate. Through that research, I was able to build many hot spot interactions, tabbed interactions, click-to-reveal interactions, drag and drop sorting knowledge checks, and more. I was able to experiment with layers and triggers that forces learners to interact with certain content before continuing in the training.
